We followed the tow truck...(we just kept her hitched to us)an hour drive back to Paso Robles..we took the back roads~ and the LONG way to prevent any accidents..in case more parts started flying...there is also a large tear and some of the back off too. Betty..I did not lose one curtain and all my pillows were there too...go figure?!

This is us headed for home on Sunday......I have tons of pics from the rally that I want to share but I had to share our story first......never a dull moment with us...last trip to the beach......our luggage fell off the top and was all over the highway......items were on the highway this time too...but it was not our luggage!!!!!
OOps.....our window blew out......3rd time on this window.....come to find out...it was only siliconed in...it is missing the bracket that actually holds the glass in place.
OMG.....WHERE IS OUR TRAILER DOOOR!!!!!! Oh yes friends...this happened just outside of Paso Robles......Thank goodness there were no accidents......we did not hit anything......the force of the window blowing...all the wind....50 mile an hour speed......caused to much pressure in the cabin..and POOF....there she blows!!!!! At least that is all we can figure......
So forgive me for not showing all the other cool trailers yet......our top priority is to somehow get our trailer back to Fresno.
She is sittting in a tow yard(Paso Robles) for the price of $55 a day...we only pay $38 to store her all month, in Clovis!
Look...hubby found some parts..looks like our door...BOO HOO!!!!!
Lucy and Dezi...we have you beat on misadventures in a trailer......we were locked in our first night...then we dropped our keys(out the door window) and we had to call for our neighbor trailerites to let us out!!

Whats a girl to do???? Vintage trailer or Paris?

OMG- That is so terrible Sis! I drove it with out the window 175 miles from SLC when I picked it up.
That is just unreal! I thought I was having a bad day, got my boat out of storage today then backed it a quarter inch too far and put a nice little ding in the back f my Hotrod with the prop.

As soon as I stop laughing at all the Lucy/Desi mishaps, I'll say how sorry I am about all your catastrophes! What else could have gone wrong? Plenty I guess. Glad you 3 are intact and safe. The trailer looked adorable with all your touches!

OMG Sheri!! Yikes! That does sound like a Lucy and Ricky story!! A trip to Paris!! Wow! I wouldn't know which one to chose either. I hope that all the curtains fit. I thought later that I probably should have measured the windows.
Oh...and I saw my "cake"! How cute. I hope everything gets worked out soon!!

So sorry to see what happened, but thank goodness the 3 of you are ok,,,,It never occured to me what could happen,,,but then again, if it wern't for these silly "Lucy & Ricky" moments, what would we have to look back on, in our "Golden years" and laugh our fannies off!
Oh and I luv that cute pink bowling bag out front of your trailer before her "skirt" blew off! lol!
Hey, you hit all of my fav places, Pismo, Paso Robles, we use to go up there(PR) for the Wine Fests. Our favorite is Opolo Vineyards. I spent many a summer's out in Biola and would go into Fresno to "Port Georges" on Friday nights, (back in the late 60's-early '70's) sure miss it all. And wow has Clovis ever grown.
Well, it will be a tuff call, Paris or Trailer,,,maybe do Paris on a budget and spend the left over $$ on your trailer.

Oh My Goodness! Thank Goodness you and your hubby are ok...was so enjoying your first outing pics..that most certainly makes your first, the Most Memorable! But she looks great...your decorating is so Cute! As for what to do for your 40th...well , I'm not a great person to ask these daze, I'm obsessed trying to get my tin can beauty up and running, so I would most certainly go with the trailer fix.:) My Trailer looks like your after photos right now, sigh , ;( anyway, you should do whatever makes you happy on your 40th! Been a while since I last popped in but have really enjoyed catching up with your posts. Your poor trailer good grief my mouth dropped when I saw the photo! As for having a trailer (or caravan as we call them down here) in your back yard not a prob with me, my next door neighbour has one & so do the guys over the road, quite common here! Ok as far as your 40th goes it just has to be PARIS!!! no disputing that.

I just couldn't believe it, I had to go back and read it twice. I so feel your pain, I am having a love hate relationship with Chief right now. He just came home after spending a month at the RV place in Budda.

Oh No!!! I can't believe that happened, my hubby would have rung my neck and would have givin me a I told ya so (should have bought a newer camper look) he was never to thrilled with my old camper! I hope it's fixable and I'm so sorry that had to be so scarey. I say go to Paris!!

In all the years my father towed a trailer back to Missouri, we never had one mishap. Yours is a dilly.
But if you pass up a trip to Paris, I will personally come down there and kick your butt. The trailer can wait, Paris can't.
