This is the famous Victorian Sisters/homes......Just a few short blocks from my daughter.
I think they are actually called "painted ladies"..Thanks Deena :)
Sophee-a pottys at this park every time she comes to town. Look at the amazing view of the skyline too.

Do you remember the show...."Full House"? The famous or infamous "Olson Twins" and the hunky Uncle Jessy(John Stamos), This is where they filmed it...I think it is the yellow one.We had such a fun week-end in San Francisco. We usually stay about 20 minutes outside of the city but this time we found a quaint Victorian hotel. It was only about 8 blocks from my daughters apt. There are quite a few inexpensive B&B type Hotels in the City. I t was only $112 for the night and they allowed pets. They did not charge a pet fee....only a deposit that you get back. I am not bragging but my pup has great travel manners. I think I only heard her bark 3 times...the whole trip! and that was right before bed(she heard the people next door). The only draw back was the bathroom was down the hall....but it was fine for one night. This was not a roach motel either.....might have been haunted though. Next time we are staying a few blocks from her at the Metro. It has it's own bathrooms but is still an old Victorian~about $100 per night and they allow pets too.

Our room.....Shhh~The baby is sleeping
I am addicted to this place...Chips and salsa...remember the margarita's Lisa?On Saturday...we visited the Famous....Shabby Chic store. Can you believe that was my first time. I bought 2 things. I wanted a lampshade that was $34.99....regular price $140. My daughter talked me out of it. I just can't pass up a sale.
Then we headed to Thrift Town.....I found a few items for my website there.
That's not us...I think people thought we were a bit weird taking a pic. of the signs
OOOPs.....that is US! My hubby took the pic and I said....Don't take it of us :)

We did a lot of walking and rode the bus too.....yes, Sophee-a rode the bus. Once she was in her bag and once she was in my arms. She is a regular city dog......pooped on the sidewalk twice LOL(we cleaned it up).
Sophee-a and I on the bus..we finally got a seat
Sophee-a and I on the bus..we finally got a seatSunday was the best. We went to a small Flea Market and spent 3 hours there. I got 4 dolls, a doll head and some items for my Prayers and worship category. I have already listed the dolls on my site and added the Religious items too. Stop by and check out my latest items~pawshpoodle~.
Fabulous Flea Market Fun.....I always seem to get pics of the "NO DOGS" signs....Sorry but I break the rules......she stays in her bag though
This is one of my favorite purchases....It needs a knob and a bit of cleaning....then I will sale it on my website~The Pawsh Poodle BoutiqueMy daughter has the creative gene too.....even more so then I. Stop by her blog and visit her new Etsy shop. The time goes by so fast and I feel like we did not get to visit that much but I will try to go back next month so we can hit the BIG flea market :)

Ooooo it looks like you had so much fun shopping.
I haven't been to San Francisco in over 20 years but I used to LOVE it when we lived in California. We lived in Vacaville and Paso Robles while my hubby was in the Air Force and for a short while after he got out.
I felt my first earthquake while we were there at some Mexican food restaurant somewhere by Giradelli Square (I have no clue if any of that is still there).
FAB U LOUS Sheri!!!!! You are so lucky!!!! I would love to go to Shabby Chic! Those houses are gorgeous too! I cant wait to see what you bought :)
Love ya,
Amy

I know what you mean--there is something about San Francisco that charms... my husband and I love it... although maybe not to live there; just to visit... :)
Have a great day lovely lady!
cielo
San Francisco is on my list of places to visit so thank you for the look into your trip.
Those houses look great.

Looks like a fabulous time Sherie. One day I am going to get there...maybe sooner than later. Don't you love places that allow dogs. I don't mean to brag either but my Ben, even though he is a big dog, is an excellent guest. When we visit friends a lot of them always tell us to bring Ben along with us. I love all those wonderful S. F. houses and I am jealous of the flea market you went to. :) MH
I would love to visit San Fran someday, those are the houses I was talking about when I asked you to take a picture...thanks!! Isn't Rachel Ashwell's store fantastic. I have only been to the one in Chicago and I too took a picture of the sign. It looks like you had a wonderful time!
Hugs,
LeAnn:)
I have been to SF once with my Sister and Mom. Loved the Macys there. I will visit your daughters etsy store. Wendy

Hey girl!
My internet is sporadic but I did get your email. I will probably call Ashlee after Fogfest. An appropriate name as my head is in a fog with all the preparations! Looks like you found Alemany Flea Market. That dresser mirror is wonderful.
Talk to you later. And yes, I remember the margaritas!
Lisa & Alfie
Looks like you had a great time !! Love that mirror you bought, and Chihuahua's !! :) I need blog about my little buggers. :) lol !! :)
The houses are fabulous. Ive always liked the look of San Francisco and would love to visit one day. I also like The Hamptons (I watch the Barefoot Contessa here in the UK) and when she goes out and about I take in the scenery and amazing houses they have. I think I may need to meet a millionaire...Hmm that may be tricky. Mandy X
Sophee-a must have such a great time with you! How fabulous that she is so agreeable to so many different situations.

Hi Sheri,
This looks like so much fun. I love the Victorian Sisters. That flea market looks great, I'll have to go check out your shop. I already noticed the Madonna on the slide that came up when your blog opened up - that's great!
I would've taken a picture of the Shabby Chic sign too. I have never been in one of Rachel's stores - only have been in stores that carry Shabby Chic furniture. Well, I'm off ~ hope to talk to you soon!

Sheri
It looks like your trip was great and the weather held up.
Is that flea market over by the Baseball field for the Giants ? I know their doing new construction over there.
One place I have not been to is the Shabby Chic store. You'd think me living not far I would make the effort.
Glad you found a place to stay that allows pets, that's a concern of mine to now when I go away.
Ciao
such a cute post!!! love all the pics!! I hope you have a wonderful day!! xo Britt
Oh! I haven't been to Sf in a few years. We used to stay at a B&B called The Abigail downtown. I don't know if it is still there.
I didn't know there was a Shabby Chic store either. I will definitely have to talk the hubby into going.

Haha I can see how my situation is confusing! We are shacking up with my parents until our home closes next week. We've been in Temecula for about 2 or 3 months- we were in SF for 3 years before we moved here. That probably makes more sense! ; )
What fun you had!!!!
I love San Francisco went there many moons ago!

Sandy

Sheriiiiii, thank you for visiting my blog today, sweet chick!! We moved to Idaho from the SF bay area! It's my favorite city to visit and shop - especially Union Square the day after Thanksgiving! Woooohooo, sweetpea. And the song playing is on my iTunes and iPod - Are you going to SF... Ooooh, be still my heart. I LOVE that song. Kids still live in Calif but we visit once or twice a year. Ain't it wonderful, my little cherub?!?!
Smooches,
Connie
Hi Sheri,
I wish I did live closer so I could pop by and help, we would have so much fun decorating and shopping. I am so jealous that you were able to go to the Shabby Chic store, we don't have any even close! I will make it to one some day. That Sophee-a is such a cutie, I saw the post with her jersey on for Daddy, what a sweetie pie. I'm going to have to check in on your daughter and see what she is up to on her blog!

Hi Sheri,
I wanted to pop over and say 'hi' and thank you for visiting and commenting on my blog...it's funny that you suggested that I maybe look into taking care of children for extra income..I used to do that! I remember how fun it was..and how exhausting! I enjoyed reading your blog and your little furbaby is just too precious!
